BERWICK’S Michael Ray has been recognised for his dedication to the St John Ambulance service.
The South Region manager of St John Ambulance Victoria has been awarded for Representing 12 Years Efficient Service as a volunteer.
The Berwick resident was presented his award by Victorian Governor Linda Dessau at Government House last month.
He is one of more than 2500 St John Ambulance volunteers across the state.
Each year the green-clad “St Johnnies” attend thousands of community events, major state events, natural disasters, serious incidents and sporting matches to provide first aid assistance to those in need.
St John Ambulance is a charity organisation that has been providing services to Victorians for more than 130 years.
