THE Pakenham branch of the Country Women’s Association (CWA) of Victoria has had a busy year with interesting guest speakers, various fund-raising events and much social interaction among the community.
Country Women’s Association Pakenham branch president Carol Clay said she was grateful to the Pakenham community for their support
“Our fund-raising efforts have once again been successful,” she said.
“We have been able to donate to community organisations including the SES and it was a privilege to be given a tour of their facility here in Pakenham when we visited them to present our donation cheque of $200.
“We were very impressed with the facility, their fully-fitted emergency vehicles and the range of equipment needed for the cases they have to deal with such as road trauma and storm damage.”
The CWA Pakenham branch will hold its next meeting at 10am Wednesday 7 December at the Pakenham RSL Hall, on the corner of Snodgrass Street and James Street.
