CARDINIA Shire Council has unveiled its new and improved Cardinia Life health club, after a $500,000 upgrade.
Cardinia Shire councillors demonstrated use of the new cardio and gym equipment on Monday 4 July.
As part of the facility’s change of management as of 1 July, Cardinia Life has had new flooring and mirrors installed with audio-visual equipment and a complete repaint.
Fitness “Preva” wrist bands are due to replace existing membership cards and will allow members to track their fitness progress with on-console software or the mobile app.
Since changing hands to Aligned Leisure, Cardinia Life memberships have no joining fees or minimum commitment terms, free pool access with a gym membership and membership fees have been frozen for 2016.
Aligned Leisure will manage Cardinia Life, Pakenham Regional Tennis Centre, four seasonal outdoor pools and the newly opened Officer Community Hub. It will also include the soon-to-open IYU Recreation Reserve synthetic soccer pitch.
