Family chips in to return McMillan MP

McMillan MP Russell Broadbent and wife Bronwyn with children Paul, Emily and Evan.

ELECTION day was a family affair for McMillan MP Russell Broadbent, who was joined for some last-minute campaigning by his wife Bronwyn and their three children.
Son Paul had flown in from Sydney and daughter Emily had travelled from Canberra. Paul’s twin brother Evan Broadbent didn’t have quite as far to commute to support his dad.
Evan works as a real estate agent in Drouin and is a member of the Pakenham Racing Club committee.
Mr Broadbent was returned for a fourth consecutive term with 55.97 per cent of the two party prefered vote. For a full wrap up of the McMillan result, turn to page 9.
