A FEMALE truck driver was killed after she was pinned beneath the truck which tipped over the edge of a Nyora quarry, police believe.
Police were called to the scene, at the sand quarry located on the South Gippsland Highway, after 1pm on Tuesday 1 March.
A Victoria Police spokesperson said it was believed the female truck driver tipped over the edge of the quarry, becoming pinned underneath the heavy vehicle.
The woman died at the scene, however the exact cause of death is yet to be determined.
She is yet to be formally identified.
WorkSafe Victoria has been notified.
