A 20-YEAR-OLD man attempting to evade arrest in the state’s north-west was located last week and charged over an alleged gang ram-raid in Pakenham.
Two women and a man are already facing charges in relation to the incident at Barry Bourke’s car dealership in Pakenham.
Seven cars were stolen from the premises in the early hours of the morning on Sunday 14 February in addition to various powertools.
The majority of the stolen vehicles were recovered in poor condition when police apprehended and charged a 28-year-old Seaford woman, a 43-year-old Bonbeach woman and a 27-year-old Langwarrin man less than a week after the theft.
However, a Holden HSV GTS is still missing according to police who revealed another alleged offender was found in Swan Hill on Tuesday 23 February, more than 330 kilometres north-west of Melbourne.
The 20-year-old, who lives in Melbourne’s outer south-east, was tracked down by police and charged over the offences.
At least two other people are expected to have been party to the incidents, but are yet to be located.
A 32-year-old woman was last week pending summons over the burglary and subsequent handling of the stolen vehicles.
The cases are scheduled to be heard at the Frankston Magistrates’ Court on Tuesday 1 February and Wednesday 2 February.
The alleged offenders are additionally accused of cutting the cyclone fencing of the premises and entering the neighbouring Toyota dealership.
They are thought to have initially ram-raided the Commercial Drive premises before taking off with the cars and damaging several others.
The case is still under investigation.
Anyone with information about the incidents are urged to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
