Police said they stripped copper wire valued at thousands of dollars from the home.
Days earlier, a construction site in one of Pakenham’s industrial estates was broken into, and tools worth thousands of dollars were stolen.
Police said between 6pm on Saturday 20 February and 5pm on Sunday 21 February, offenders cut the lock to a Hill Street construction site located off Bald Hill Road.
Building tools were among those stolen from the site.
