Mercy theme at life-transforming retreat

Canberra Archbishop Christopher Prowse and visiting lay preacher Brother Lalith Perera.

WORLD-RENOWNED preacher Brother Lalith Perera, who heads the Community of the Risen Lord (CRL), will conduct a two-day life-transforming weekend retreat on 16 and 17 January 2016 at St Francis Xavier College, Berwick Campus, as well as inspiring talks on weekdays at local churches.
The theme for the retreat, “With the Lord, there is Mercy” has been selected to blend with the Year of Mercy that the Catholic Church ushered in on 8 December.
This annual retreat, co-sponsored by the Catholic Diocese of Sale along with Community of Risen Lord Australia, offers a great opportunity for visitors to enter into a deep journey with the Living Christ and experience the power of the Holy Spirt.
On both days, the program starts with prayer and praise at 10am while on Sunday it will finish with Mass at 4pm conducted by Fr Harold Thamil.
The first talk is on Friday 15 January from 7.30pm to 9.30pm at St. Michael’s Church, Berwick.
Following the weekend retreat, Br Lalith will conduct daily talks from Monday 18 to Wednesday 20 January from 7.30pm to 9.30pm at Our Lady Help of Christians Church, Narre Warren.
On Thursday 21 January he will conduct the last talk in Melbourne at Sacred Heart Church, St Albans, before heading to Sydney (22-28 January) and Canberra (29-31 January).
