THE staff at Budget Car and Truck Rentals in Pakenham were forced to refuse car rental to a group of unruly wanderers last week.
The group, who claimed they were lost, were all underage and could not present staff with licences or means of payment.
Business manager Cameron Robins said customer service representative Sharon Garside went above and beyond to save the four roaming calves, which were spotted walking along Bald Hill Road.
“We had four VIP visitors pop into our local branch trying to rent a convertible,” he told the Gazette.
“We held them in our yard safely until the council found a trailer to take them back to the paddock.”
