Vehicles impounded: speedster, hoon face charges

CARDINIA Highway Patrol officers detected a driver travelling 80km/h over the speed limit on the weekend.
The 25-year-old man was detected at 160km/h in an 80km/h zone on the Dandenong Bypass in Keysborough about 11.50pm.
The Subaru WRX has been impounded for 30 days at a cost of $972, and the man will be charged on summons with speed-related offences.
The same police members also observed a driver doing a burn out on the Princes Highway in Noble Park hours later.
The 23-year-old man has had his Holden HSV impounded for 30 days at a cost of $917, and will be charged on summons with driving- related offences.
