By ANEEKA SIMONIS

THE Narre Warren and District Family History Group is excited to announce Jenny Baker will speak at an coming meeting on women in service during World War I. She will share her wealth of knowledge on the contribution Australian women made to the war effort in WWI. Visitors are always welcome.
The meeting will be held on Wednesday 11 March, at 7.30pm, at the Meeting Room, Narre Warren Library, Overland Drive, Fountain Gate. Cost is $3.
The Narre Warren and District Family History Group together with the West Gippsland Genealogical Society have also combined to create an Away Day, so go with them and explore the history of Williamstown, including the Williamstown Cemetery.
The morning program will allow you to freely explore the various historical places around the heritage area. Meet on the foreshore for lunch, which can be purchased from one of the many cafes or bring your own. The day will be topped off with a visit to the Williamstown Cemetery, where you can wander at your leisure for a few hours looking for relatives.
This great trip is available to both members and non-members.
The trip is on Sunday 15 March, between 9.15am and about 5. Cost is $20 (bus fare only).
