WEST GIPPSLAND TENNIS ASSOCIATION – LADIES
THE West Gippsland Tennis Association midweek ladies played their semi-finals on Wednesday 5 November.
The first match, Nar Nar Goon v Pakenham resulted in Pakenham having a very convincing win with a score of 5-46 to Nar Nar Goon’s 1-30.
The other semi-final was played between Maryknoll Red and Maryknoll Blue. After the first set Maryknoll Red was leading by two games. When the second sets were completed, Maryknoll Red had increased their lead to seven games but both teams were tied on sets. Maryknoll Red won the remaining two sets, coming home with an overall win of 4-45 to 2-34.
The WGTA midweek ladies preliminary final will be played at the Pakenham Regional Tennis Centre on Wednesday 12 between Maryknoll Red and Nar Nar Goon.
The end of year Round Robin for all teams not playing in the preliminary final will also be held at the PRTC on the same evening.
