BEACONSFIELD girl Charlotte Jagusch is just about ready to fly and will be up, up and away in no time.
While finding your ideal job can sometimes be hard, it was made easier for this teen after she went along to the Air Force Flight Camp at East Sale where she gained a good insight into the Royal Australian Air force (RAAF).
Ever since she was young, Charlotte said she was interested in how things worked and had a passion for aeroplanes.
“Flight Camp was extraordinary,” she said.
“I loved every single bit of it. Joining the RAAF would be an amazing job; my favourite part of camp was flying the CT-4 training aircraft because I got to have a taste of what it’s like to be a pilot for an hour. It was amazing.”
Charlotte said she would recommend flight camp to anyone interested in aviation and said it gave her a great insight into the Air Force.
Charlotte said while her dreams appeared far away, she couldn’t wait to make them a reality.
“I think it is important to have a positive attitude with anything you do,” she said.
“I really want to become a pilot and that seems intimidating right now. However, I am known as a bit of a daredevil among my group of friends and if you don’t take that leap you’ll never be able to reach your dreams.”
“It’s my dream to fly planes for the Air Force.”
The Royal Australian Air Force aims to instil values which are applicable in any career within its industry.
The core values of respect, excellence, agility, dedication, integrity and teamwork are essential in becoming a valued member of the RAAF. Charlotte believed she embodied that dedication and integrity and hoped to be a pilot with the RAAF one day.
RAAF is currently recruiting for pilots and other roles. For further information on the RAAF and careers in the Navy, Army and Air Force go to:
