ROTARY Club of Pakenham raised about $5000 through its golf day last week.
Rotarian and golf day chairman Ken Rook said the 13th annual event at Pakenham Golf Course on Friday 9 May was a great success.
“Players hit off in ideal conditions and enjoyed a great day of golf and fellowship,” he said.
A barbecue dinner, prize presentation and auction of sponsor-donated items followed.
“The auction provided a fun way to end the event and the profits will be applied to various and very worthy Rotary projects,” Mr Rook said.
“We’ve got a lot of little bits and pieces that we’re doing.”
He said some money would go toward Rotary Against Cancer (ROCAN) projects and an extension to Rotary Park on the south side of the railway line.
