Mac attacker

By Jade Lawton
The incident began at 1am on Saturday, 5 December 2009 when a group of three men and one woman made a late-night trip to McDonald’s, on the Princes Highway.
Police said the group had a conversation with another group of three young males.
After about five minutes, another group of 10 youths approached the group. The discussion soon turned argumentative and one of the youths in the large group head-butted a man, breaking his nose.
Three young males then pursued another victim across to the BP service station, punching him to the ground and kicking and stomping on his head.
Three of the victims – a Pakenham man, Cranbourne man and Cockatoo man, all aged in their mid-thirties – were injured in the assault, with one requiring several stitches to his head.
Police have released an image of a man that may be able to assist them with their inquiries.
Anyone with information is asked to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000 or Constable Smithett or Constable Thompson at Pakenham Police on 5945 2500.
