There is no better way to round out the Easter long weekend than with a family day out at the Lang Lang Rodeo.

Now in its 78th year, the rodeo will draw thousands on Easter Monday, 10 April.

“We have been running the rodeo for 76 years so we certainly know what we are doing,“ said a committee spokesperson.

The committee is hoping for a great day filled with thrills and spills.

The action starts with the junior and ladies barrel races, team roping, bareback riding, saddle bronc, local steer ride and lots more culminating in the thrilling Bullride event, with man pitted against beast!

The livestock is supplied by J.P Gill and Sons which has had a long association with Lang Lang, initially as competitors then later as suppliers of first class stock.

There will be lots of food trucks and rodeo merchandise and, at lunchtime, the “Hughie Bourke Memorial Dog High Jump” competition with cash prizes. It is free to enter, so if you have a dog that loves to jump, bring it along and you could win a cash prize.

Gates open at 8.30am and the action starts at 10 am

The Lang Lang Rodeo Committee would like to thank their sponsors.
