The 122nd annual Bunyip Show drew a crowd from across the district and beyond for a day of agricultural-based fun on Sunday 26 March.

Bunyip and District Agricultural Society secretary Natalie O’Connor said the weather made for a beautiful day out at the show for local and non-local families.

“The gate was really good, we had lots of families come through,” she said.

“The type of attractions we had – the parents loved it.”

Ms O’Connor said the society saw increased entries in the cattle and goat sections compared to last year, and horse entries were “really good and of a high level”.

Ms O’Connor also said there was good feedback for moving the dog show to a more prominent position at the grounds for the public to enjoy.

The inclusion of the Provenance Paddock, which showcased local produce from paddocks in the Eastern Dandenong Ranges, Bunyip State Park and Mount Cannibal foothills, to the Great Swamp farmland, down to the Western Port coastline, was presented by the West Gippsland Progress Association.
