What is something people don’t know about you?
I came to Melbourne on my own when I was 16-years-old from Dunedin, New Zealand.
What was your most memorable moment?
Becoming a mum to my son Mitch – then four years later I had a daughter, Ebony. So lucky to have one of each.
What’s the best thing about being a photographer?
Well I have taught myself, so definitely not a professional! But I absolutely love taking photos, I started taking photos at a very young age. Just over the last few years I have taken a passion to take photos of landscapes, sunrises, sunsets, birds and love gardens to photograph.
Where is your favourite location to take photos within Cardinia?
Emerald Lake Park and Cardinia Reservoir.
What would your last meal be?
Crumbed lamb cutlets with heaps of veggies and a glass of wine.
What event past or present would you like to witness?
Hopefully one day in the future my children will get married and have their own children.
Which six dinner guests, dead or alive, would you invite to dinner?
Deb, Michelle, Maryanne, Cheryl, Linstel and Kim – or my girlfriends may be easier to say.
What’s your favourite book?
Any photography book.
What’s do you think is the best photo you’ve taken and why?
It’s too hard to say what my favourite photo is as I have taken too many! But one of my favourites is my latest Kookaburra photo as this was taken at a favourite place and I just love those autumn tones in the background.
What are your tips for those thinking of taking up photography?
I would say take any photo anytime, anywhere as if you want to take a photo at that special time/place it has a meaning/memory so it’s special to you and maybe special to others. My only regret in my photos are not taking photos of school friends.
