Pakenham residents are being invited to choose how much dough they pay for their favourite Bakers Delight products as part of a special charity day on Saturday 18 August.

For one day only, customers visiting Bakers Delight Pakenham Marketplace will be able to nominate how much they pay for their favourite bakery products, with all proceeds going to Breast Cancer Network Australia (BCNA) – the peak national organisation for Australians affected by breast cancer.

This one-off community event has been put together to help celebrate the reopening of the much-loved bakery after a brief closure.

“We know the people of Pakenham love their freshly baked bread and snacks so we are delighted that we have been able to get the local ovens fired up again so quickly,” Bakers Delight Joint CEO, Elise Gillespie said.

“Giving the local community a chance to nominate what they pay for their favourite Bakers Delight products is a really fun way to support an important cause like BCNA and is a good reminder of how important a local bakery can be to communities around Australia.”

CEOs Elise Gillespie and David Christie will be onsite to personally bake products and serve customers throughout the day, while the ‘very pink’ BCNA ute will also be onsite to help raise awareness of the cause.

The charity day will be held on Saturday 18 August from 8am-6pm at Bakers Delight Pakenham Marketplace, 3/50 – 54 John Street, Pakenham.
