Doctors hold historic first meeting

More than 100 doctors and their families gathered at Cardinia Cultural Centre for the first Bangladesh Medical Society of Victoria annual general meeting on Saturday 18 March.
BMSV Office Secretary Dr Nazmul Hoque said the day represented a historic step for the 260 Bangladeshi doctors who currently work in Victorian health system.
“Pakenham will be always remembered as the beginning of the journey in our organisation’s history,” he said.
During the AGM the BMSV committee was formed with Dr M. Z. Quddus elected president.
The BMSV plans to hold its next AGM at the Cardinia Cultural Centre in 2018.
