A trapped woman has been freed from a car after a serious multi-vehicle crash on the Monash Freeway at Dandenong North.
Paramedics are treating the woman in her forties with neck and back injuries as a result of the crash involving a truck and three cars on the inbound freeway lanes near Stud Road, just before 8am on Wednesday 15 February.
Emergency services took 30 minutes to extract her from her vehicle. She was taken to The Alfred hospital in a serious condition.
Two other women in their forties and with minor injuries were taken to Dandenong Hospital in a stable condition, according to an Ambulance Victoria statement.
Three inbound lanes have been closed, with delays quickly building to Clyde Road, VicRoads has advised.
It recommends drivers to use Princes Highway as an alternative route.
