Cyclist killed in Drouin West

Police are currently investigating the circumstances surrounding a collision between a bike and a car in Drouin West yesterday that sadly claimed the life of an elderly cyclist.

It is believed that a white Toyota Hilux tray was travelling west along Old Sale Road near Stock Road at about midday on Tuesday 13 July, when it collided with a cyclist travelling in the same direction.

The cyclist, a 79 year old Drouin woman, sadly died at the scene.

The male driver aged in his 20’s was uninjured in the accident and is assisting police with their enquiries.
