We may all be tucked away behind closed doors at the moment – but there’s still plenty of fun to be had, and Kate Cashin has captured the simple moments beautifully in her photos.

Ms Cashin, a former police detective who has now taken up photography full time, said that even in lockdown there were many special moments to be found, and she decided to focus on her kids, Piper (5) and Oakley (2), as muses.

“These are some shots of my kids enjoying the simple things over the last two days,” Ms Cashin said.

“We’ve been balancing home learning, daily life and [I’m still] managing my business.

We try and spend time doing simple things like reading, painting, baking and being outdoors,” she said.

Ms Cashin said that even though she was unable to shoot sessions for her work at the moment, she was glad to have found a way to channel her passion through lockdown and the results clearly speak for themselves!
