An event aiming to promote positive skate park use will gift skaters, BMXers and scooter-riders a “wheelie” good opportunity to showcase their skills when the Australian Skate Park League series rolls into Pakenham.

The Skate Park Leagues (SPL) is an interconnected skate park competition which offers local youth the chance to show off their ability while also promoting the positive use of council skate parks.

Launched in 2007, the scooter, BMX and skateboard competitions form part of more than 100 structured and interconnected Skate Park League events across the country.

A partnership between YMCA Action Sports, Skate Australia, Victorian Skateboarding League, BMX Victoria and Cardinia Shire Council has provided the opportunity for talent in and around Pakenham to compete for a regional place in the series.

The event will be held at the Pakenham Skate Park on Saturday 21 March from 11am to 4pm.
