Federation University’s Berwick campus hosted their O-Week celebrations where they plan to welcome up to 900 new students this semester.

Of that number, almost 400 of the students are freshly graduated high school students while another 150 are international students.

Head of Berwick campus Kathy Racunica said the university was “delighted” to welcome the new students.

“Additionally, there will be more than 100 new enrolments through our flexible and online delivery of courses, mainly in nursing,” Ms Racunica said.

“Within the three years of operation, the Berwick campus has grown to more than 2300 enrolments.”

The courses in greatest demand include nursing, education, business, commerce, information technology, social work and criminology.

The orientation week celebrations included a ‘welcome to campus’ and smoking ceremony was held at the campus grounds on Wednesday 26 February, which was followed by a student lunch.
