It wasn’t a great start to Sunday for a Pakenham family who spent their morning scrubbing offensive tags from their garage, bins and three family vehicles.

Wishing to remain anonymous, the victim believes the incident took place sometime early Sunday morning between 1am and 10am on Sunday 26 May.

“Devastated to get up and see all three of our cars graffitied with such a horrible message,” they said.

“We are just a normal family, don’t have any enemies. My children were in the house while someone has done this!”

Making matters worse, the graffiti contained offensive material including a quote which could potentially be traced back to the popular Chris Lilley web series, Lunatic s.

One of the tags written in permanent marker, “Don’t be a s*** c***”, was a line from the show, which was released in April.

The family weren’t the only victims of this particular vandalism spree, with neighbours in the Henty Park Estate and the park on Freeman Drive also being targeted.

“Neighbours please be careful and park cars in garages if possible,” they said.

“So sad to think there is more and more crime every day.”

The Gazette contacted Pakenham police station for comment but they were unaware of the incident.
