If you’re a fan of cooking shows, you’re going to love Beaconsfield Upper café owner Sally’s new series.
Producing her very own cooking show has always been on her list of things to achieve ever since opening her café, Tradies and Ladies in 2012.
Her series, Tradies and Ladies Cooking with Sally Burger, will be aired on channel 31 (channel 44 Melbourne) in late May.
In each episode, “genuine tradie customers” are featured.
“I put the feelers out there and literally made it happen,” Sally said.
“I’d love to be able to teach tradies how to cook from scratch. Tradies need to see how easy it really is and that it doesn’t have to be as time-consuming as they may think.
“There are not enough people cooking at home anymore so we need to get back in the kitchen.”
The show will air during a prime time slot, Sally said.
“I absolutely loved filming it. It was just what I needed and came at the right time for me personally,” she added.
Sally plays the role of the producer, stylist, as well as the host.
“It’s a lot of fun, there is no rehearsing and things are said that are not politically correct,” she said.
“I just say it as it is, no bullsh*t.”
Filming mainly took place at Sally’s cafe, as well as at her vets farm house and veterinary clinic, in man caves, motorcycle sheds, backyards, a shopping centre, the beach and more.
“With my own quirky touch on it, it makes for a fun and entertaining 30 minute episode that is jam packed full of good stuff,” Sally said.
“Channel 31 has already asked me to film a second season consisting of 13 more 30 minute episodes so head down bum up for me this year. Woohoo!”
