Pakenham Police are investigating a theft that occurred in Pakenham on 11 March.
Police allege that at approximately 11am an unknown woman entered a store, grabbed a number of items and went to the counter.
She then told the staff member that she had forgotten her purse and has then run to a waiting red Ford Falcon, bearing stolen registration plates ‘YPF875’.
Police have released CCTV still images of a woman who they believe can assist with their investigation.
