A ten-metre high dinosaur has found a new home at Gumbuya World.

‘Dino the Dinosaur’ was resettled at the Tynong theme park on Friday 30 November after residing at Phillip Island’s Bedrock Family Restaurant for 12 years.

Due to renovations at the restaurant, the 3.5 tonne dinosaur was put up for sale on Facebook where the owners of Gumbuya World found him and purchased him for $9000.

“We saw it and thought he’d be a great addition to our family of wildlife. He will be the first thing people see when they come to the park,” Gumbuya World Director Ron Weinzierl said.

With moving parts, including the eyes, mouth, neck, stomach and tail and complete with a sound box attached, the electronic dinosaur will give patrons a taste of Gumbuya World’s dinosaur exhibit, which is set to be unveiled next year.
