The Richmond Football Club will again be hosting the Richmond VFL team at Holm Park Recreation Reserve this July.

The game between the Richmond and North Melbourne VFL teams will start at 2.10pm on 14 July 2018.

Cardinia Shire Mayor Cr Collin Ross said it would be exciting to have Richmond Football Club’s VFL team back on Cardinia Shire ground after their visit in May.

“It will be great to welcome the VFL team back again – our community loves having the club play on our turf. As Richmond VFL and AFL teams are both playing really well this season, this is bound to be a great game!” Cr Ross said.

“The low-cost entry and free children’s activities make these events affordable for families, and with two great teams playing its wonderful opportunity for our residents to get involved in sport and community.”

Richmond CEO Brendon Gale said he was excited to bring the VFL program to the Cardinia Shire once again this year.

“The VFL Tigers had a great win at Holm Park Recreation Reserve earlier this season, so we hope we can replicate that again for the local Richmond members and football fans attending this weekend’s game,” he said,

“The Club is very proud of its partnership with Cardinia Shire Council. We have been working side-by-side for over seven years to deliver programs, events and initiatives and connect people through sport.

“Entry is free for all 2018 Richmond members, and there will be a number of family friendly activities during the game, so we encourage our strong and loyal fan base in the south-east corridor to get along and show their support.”

Free children’s activities, including inflatables, Mascots, a balloon artist and face painting will be available. Entry at the gate is $10 per adult for non-members, $5 per child (under 15) for non-members and free entry for 2018 Richmond Football Club members.
