The Richmond Football Club, together with VicHealth’s This Girl Can campaign and Aligned Leisure, is hosting a luncheon in the Cardinia Shire to celebrate active women.

The free luncheon is open to all females in the community and being held at the Cardinia Cultural Centre in Pakenham on Tuesday June 5th, from 12.00 to 2.30pm.

The aim of the luncheon is simple; to celebrate women being active, and also provide more support and information to overcome the different challenges women face in getting active.

Hosted by Tiffany Cherry, the panel includes Di Rance – mother of Alex Rance, Aunty Pam Pedersen – Yorta Yorta Elder, and Jess Kennedy – Richmond VFLW captain. During the luncheon, Richmond head coach Damien Hardwick will also provide insights as to how Richmond Football Club wants to engage women.

As well as the panellists, there will also be representatives from local sporting and activity groups, allowing those in attendance to find out more about options to participate in sports and activities in the local community.

If you’re a woman who is looking to get active, stay active or help others to be active, this is an event not to be missed.

VicHealth’s This Girl Can campaign is aimed at celebrating women who are all kinds of active – women who are giving it a go, no matter how well they do it, or how red and sweaty their face gets.

Places are limited and women interesting in attending need to RSVP by emailing reception@richmondfc.com.au.
