Hundreds of people flocked to the streets of Berwick last weekend for the Berwick Business Group’s festival fun day, Christmas in Berwick.
Taking place on Saturday 9 December, the Santa’s workshop themed festival had something to keep the whole family amused with a range of merry activities on offer.
Cameron McKerchar of the Business Group said that more than 100 festival goers took the chance to snap a photo with Santa or dressed in the very popular ugly jumpers to take their 2017 Christmas photo.
Local dance schools were also out and about performing to Christmas music and local choir groups entertained crowds by singing a range of much-loved carols within the gardens.
There was also a range of store holders present as well as kids’ arts and crafts activities, a DJ and a sausage sizzle provided by the Casey Rotary Club.
“It was a real family event,” Cameron said.
“It’s just about the community and letting people know what’s in Berwick for them to use – that they don’t have to go elsewhere for their Christmas shopping – it’s all here.”
The day also unveiled the winners of the Business Group’s bauble decorating competition which saw the local Christmas trees decorated with entrants baubles as well as the winner of the Business Group’s reindeer hunt.
