Casey Childcare and Kindergarten saw a week of rich cultural celebrations during Cultural Diversity Week, including Harmony Day on Friday 21 March.
With almost 30 cultures and language groups represented at Casey Childcare and Kindergarten, it was a week of new colours, sounds and sweet and spicy smells filling the corridors.
Family members from Canada, India and Mauritius shared some of their favourite recipes and demonstrated henna painting for the children.
During the week the children dressed in their national costumes, wore orange for Harmony Day, and experienced new foods from the kitchen.
Casey Child Care and Kindergarten staff member Debbie Porter said it was a fun week.
“It was made extra special by the support of all our families,” she said.
