MOROCCAN Joes is owned by Adam Khan and offers Middle Eastern and Moroccan inspired food which is backed by unbeatable service.
The menu features not only dishes from Morocco but also from the Middle East, and there is also an extensive wine list offered.
The ambiance of Morocco Joes is unique to the area, featuring décor reminiscent of a Bedouin tent, and a dining room which features large Middle Eastern style brass lights, flickering of candles on every table, and large intricate brass lamps that have been imported from the Middle East.
The menu is extensive, offering something for everyone – guests have found that the two banquets (the Sultans Banquet and the Khans Banquet) are a fantastic way to give them the opportunity to try many of the dishes from the menu.
To add to the unique offerings, the restaurant also features a belly dancer every Friday and Saturday night which has proven to be a hit with customers.
Moroccan Joes is different from any other restaurant because it offers a unique cuisine that Berwick and the surrounding areas have been craving for, as well as a dining atmosphere that is truly unique and different for the area.
At Moroccan Joes, staff focus on getting the balance between warm ambiance, friendly service and delicious food. They want people to experience the flavours in the Middle East in a way that makes them feel as though their dining with owners in their family home.
The new business has only been open for around two to three weeks, but has already proven to be a hit with the locals.
Although the business is only new, the restaurant is family owned and run by people with more than 30 years’ experience in the hospitality industry.
Owner Adam’s father opened his first restaurant in 1960 so Adam was born into the restaurant industry, as were his kids. The service offered and food provided comes with the knowledge and passion that only 30 years of experience can provide.
The chefs at Moroccan Joes, as well as the house staff, have been with the owners for around 10 years – making them members of the family. As well as this, the owner’s children, ages 25, 17 and 14 also help out.
The experience at Moroccan Joes is a combination of food, atmosphere and service and the company also offers a function service.
The restaurant is on Kangan Drive in Berwick and operates from Tuesday through to Sunday nights for dinner from 6pm until 10pm.
