Titans hang in

THE Titans are still in the hunt to qualify for the Pakenham Floorball League finals after narrowly beating rivals the Legends 3-2 at Cardinia Life last Thursday night.
In one of the tighter matches of the season, scores were locked at 2-2 throughout the second and third period until Ash Johnson broke through with one of his two goals.
The Titans defended the 3-2 lead vigorously as Legends star player Paul Hogg (two goals) pressed hard to find the equaliser without reward.
Meanwhile, the Tropicals have pulled off a record-breaking comeback after they beat the G-Team 11-10.
The G-Team raced to an 0-8 goal lead in the second period but the tables quickly turned as Tropicals captain Jeremy Monckton shot eight goals and assisted in three others to inspire the comeback.
The eight-goal turnaround is the greatest comeback in two years.
The Blackjacks also recorded their first win of the season after they beat the Dilligafs 9-2.
On the back of new recruit Mel Lyons (four goals, two assists) and Linet Boloski (two goals, two assists), the Blackjacks poured on scoring opportunities and only Dilligafs’ Steve Dillon (one goal) was able to stop further embarrassment.
