BUSINESS owners who care for the health, well-being and work-life balance of their employees could be rewarded this year in Cardinia Shire Council’s sixth business awards program.
The well-being of staff is a category to be included in this year’s round of awards and it will also recognise excellence in development of staff and the provision of training. The business awards aim to promote successful business operations in the over nine categories.
Last year’s winners, Greenhills Propagation Nursery owners Robert and Liz Harrison, credited their staff for their win.
“We pride ourselves on quality and service and I couldn’t be any prouder of all my staff,” Mr Harrison said a year ago.
The council’s economic development officer, Phil Jackson, said the awards could help raise a business’ profile, acknowledge its staff for their work, and recognise the quality of products and services.
The Women Making It Work network has sponsored the new category and the Pakenham Gazette will be a major sponsor of the awards.
An information session will be held on Tuesday, 2 March.
Entries close on Friday, 12 April.
