What are you most passionate about?
Family and friends are very important to me.
What do you love about teaching?
Being a part of the education journey of a child and their family. There is nothing better than a child getting excited about learning something new or becoming fluent in a skill.
What do you love about Beaconsfield?
The people – the children and families. Everyone looks out for each other.
What would your last meal be?
I would head straight to dessert – a lemon tart.
What was your most memorable moment?
Meeting my husband and my two awesome children.
What was your favourite subject in school?
Maths – I am a mathematician and loved the challenge of solving a problem.
What event past or present would you like to witness?
I think any event that celebrates and brings us together. I love the sporting events of the 2000 Olympics – opening ceremony or Cathy Freeman winning the 400m. I was very proud to witness the Australian Women’s cricket team with the World Cup in 2020.
Which six dinner guests, dead or alive, would you invite to dinner?
Glenn Maxwell, Meg Lanning, James Corden, P!nk, Peter Bol and a minion – that is a very random group.
What are you currently listening to/watching or reading?
Listening – Podcast ’The Imperfects’ and reading – Laine Moriarty ‘What Alice Forgot’.
How would you describe your fashion sense?
Comfortable – especially in a lockdown.
Have you had a pet that has made an impact on your life?
I love dogs and we currently own a rescue dog called Diego. He is lucky I love him so much as he certainly has tested the family’s patience with what he likes to chew.
If you had to compete on MasterChef, what dish would you cook?
Scones – I make a good one from a traditional recipe.
Where is your dream holiday destination?
Anywhere! We have happily travelled around the country and the state but a family favourite was Bright in Victoria.
What were you like as a kid?
Quiet, loved riding my bike and playing with my many soft toys. I also loved school and want the same experience for other children.
What is your favourite colour and why?
Blue – a sense of calm.
Do you consider yourself an extrovert or an introvert?
Depends on the situation – I can be very loud and I can be very quiet.
