The Berwick Church of Christ has been a part of the community for 150 years with a desire to honour and thank God, the people and place of Berwick.
The church members perceive celebrations as a time when they can look back with gratitude, pause to enjoy the present and look forward in hope.
Get ready to dive into the deep and wide program of many different activities on offer at the
Community Arts Festival beginning on Saturday 20 July from 10am to 2pm.
Open Art Exhibition, Melbourne Gospel Choir, Berwick Calisthenics, dance and musical performances, Destiny Words, face painting, and the winners of the Arts Trail will be announced are some events on offer.
Festival-goers can start planning where to go and what to see at the Community Arts Festival.
“It’s huge, it’s colourful and it will surprise, delight and inspire you,” Berwick Church of Christ committee chair Charmaine Vis said.
“We have tried to bring you something new and fresh for the local community and those visiting the festival from out of town.”
Melbourne Youth Chorale formerly Berwick Youth Choir, have served the Berwick community for over 30 years teaching musicianship to people aged five to 20 years and will open the festival in the lower carpark at High Street.
The ‘Berwick Yesterday, Today, Tomorrow’ Arts exhibition will be open at the Berwick Guide Hall.
“We really want the community to get on board and join us for some art and fun at our celebration,” Ms Vis said.
The MC for the Community Arts Festival will be Lucy Holmes.
Lucy has been heard on 89.9 Light FM in Melbourne over the last 10 years every morning from 6am as part of the award winning Lucy and Kel breakfast show.
The 2019 Arts Trail includes nine artists who have partnered with local businesses to be part of Arts Trail, showcasing their work in shopfronts.

Try Vocal Techniques for Contemporary Singers, have an acting lesson or participate in the Circus Circuit or Dance & Groove.
Kids can take their parents along to have their face painted, meet Splinter the Clown or watch Spiderman on stage or join in with the children’s activities.
