Kooweerup Regional Health Services’ annual Music on the Grass is back and, best of all, it’s free.
The festival, held in conjunction with the local men’s shed, churches and Scout group, showcases some of the talented students and up-coming musicians of Kooweerup and surrounding areas.
Each year hundreds of residents pack the town’s community gardens for a day of good food, music and company.
Kooweerup Regional Health Services volunteer co-ordinator Maria Canty said the community festival offered something for everyone.
“Catering for every age group, grandparents, parents, teens and young children, the event provides the community with an afternoon filled with great entertainment and activities,” Ms Canty said.
“Just like an old style country fair, families can come along and enjoy free musical entertainment and children’s activities.”
Country music artist Bec Hance will headline this year’s event while children will be entertained with a jumping castle and face painting.
The day’s activities will also include a market which will offer hand-picked and home-made goods.
The Kooweerup Men’s Shed will provide a sausage sizzle lunch to feed any grumbling stomachs.
Music on the Grass will run from 11am until 3pm on Sunday 19 November at the Kooweerup Community Gardens.
