It was a night of fashion, food and a whole lot of fun at the Berwick Business Group’s annual VIP Fashion Festival.
The event took place on Friday 6 October when more than 200 guests were treated to champagne, sweets and a live DJ as the evening showcased late night trading, fashion and beauty workshops, a catwalk and a number of exciting sales and special offers.
And as Berwick Business Group Co-Secretary and owner of iBare Giftware Berwick Magda D’Abaco explained, the jam-packed night was the ideal opportunity for locals to experience the unique and exciting stores Berwick has to offer.
“It was a fantastic night,” Magda said.
“We had over 200 ladies attend on the night and got so much positive feedback.
“All the retailers came together to put on a really great night out in Berwick.
“(These events are) extremely important. We have to be competitive against other larger big retailer precincts like Chadstone and Fountain Gate so that the community knows they don’t have to go elsewhere to shop – they can stay in Berwick.”
With workshops such as styling sessions at iBare Boutique and Little Black Bag, a hair and make-up session at Victoria Belle and a catwalk presented by Little Blackbird, Magda explained that the night also presented the diverse range of fashion and beauty products that local traders can offer the public.
“In Berwick, we make sure each boutique complements each other,” she said.
“We have different styles that cater for all age groups and demographics.
“So we have the young mums and more mature ladies and we’ve got our older customers as well.
“There’s about 12 or 13 boutiques in Berwick and we all make sure everyone is catered for and anyone can find something in one of our stores.”
More than $1100 worth of prizes were up from grabs as well and featured winnings including two $100 vouchers from Little Blackbird, a $100 voucher from Little Black Bag, two $50 Departure Lounge vouchers, two $50 Gilda Fashion Boutique vouchers, gift packs from Endota Spa and iBare Boutique, a $50 voucher from Toy Workshop, a $50 Victoria Belle as well as a voucher from The Fitshake Bar and a hot stone massage provided by Kiana Beauty Berwick Pharmacy.
