Australia’s very first Priceline celebrated its 15th birthday with a bumper bash recently.
The Pakenham store is the very first Priceline Pharmacy in Australia, and marked the 21 September milestone with a pink-themed celebration.
The store was a buzz with a mass of pink balloons covering the ceiling, and staff dressed in pink wigs.
Customers also joined in on the festivities which included face painting, discount offers, raffles, giveaways and birthday cake.
Nova radio station broadcast from outside the store.
A Priceline spokesperson said a highlight was when owners Jeffrey Thom and Karen Dougall cut the huge celebratory pink cake and thanked the crowd for attending and their loyal staff for years of dedicated service.
Long-time customers praised the store for its A-plus service, with Barbara Reid saying, “I’ve been attending this Priceline Pharmacy since it opened, and I have had the most superb service as a customer and friend all during that time”.
“From the pharmacists to the staff, they have all gone above their duty, even taking me home when needed,” Ms Reid said.
Geraldine and Clyde Brett, whose daughter works at the store, said they had been customers since the beginning.
“We have always been courteous, helpful to our needs at all times. The staff are always helpful and polite, and we would recommend this store to anyone in the Pakenham area,” Mr and Mrs Brett said.
