Two men sought after bottle shop ram-raid

By Bonny Burrows

The Cellarbrations bottle shop in Kooweerup was ram-raided and robbed on 22 September.
Cardinia CIU Detective Senior Constable Angela Butler said detectives were investigating the burglary, which occurred about 3.50am.
“Two male offenders in a black Ford Ranger have used the vehicle to ram open the shop’s front sliding doors,” DSC Butler said.
She said the two men, one of a normal build and one of a heavy build both masked and dressed in light coloured clothing, took two cash tills and a number of cigarette lighters.
Det Sen Const Butler said the pair attempted to break into a cigarette cabinet but were unsuccessful.
She estimated about $1000 in cash was taken before they fled the scene.
Det Sen Const Butler described the vehicle as a dark coloured Ford Ranger with a front bull bar, snorkel and metal tradies’ tray on the back.
It had black and white plates and is estimated to be a model made sometime between 2010 and now.
“We’re asking anyone with information to contact Crime Stoppers,” Det Sen Const Butler said.
