AMP’s Tomorrow Fund recipient Michelle Jankovic is one step closer to connecting Australians to healthcare services and support through the launch of her new digital healthcare portal Your Ability.
Your Ability seeks to provide a one-stop site for all healthcare needs through 10 categories: accommodation and travel, aged care, aids and equipment, community service, diagnosis specific support, allergy free restaurants, education and employment, healthcare, respite and sport and leisure.
“I am passionate about connecting individuals to healthcare products and services which enhance their life. I want to make sure they don’t miss out any life experiences by providing solutions to their healthcare needs”, Michelle said.
After raising two children who were born prematurely, with her son Bailey developing cerebral palsy as a result, Michelle had experienced the first-hand challenges of accessing simple and comprehensible disability support services.
“Both my children were born eight weeks premature. As a result, I have spent countless hours sharing hospital waiting rooms with other parents and carers.
“I soon realised so many families were hungry for healthcare information”, Michelle said.
Your Ability aims to fill that void by giving people with healthcare challenges an online tool which connects them instantly to answers.
Now that the site is up and running, Michelle would like to extend a call out to healthcare organisations, businesses, community groups, charities, government departments and eateries which cater for individuals with food allergies, to now submit their complimentary listing to the website.
“Listing on Your Ability is a quick and simple process. Just enter your details and password, your listing details and services, choose your plan and submit to www.yourability.com.au.”
Your Ability will provide a platform for any businesses seeking to engage with people with disability, medical conditions and complex care needs, ageing and elderly, carers and families, allied health, healthcare businesses and healthcare organisations, while helping families in need.
