Man sought after shop theft

The person police wish to speak to.

Police are investigating an alleged shop theft involving stolen credit cards at a service station in Pakenham.
Police report that on 8 July, about 9.50pm, an unidentified male has attempted to use a stolen credit card to make a purchase, which was subsequently declined.
He then allegedly took an item before leaving the store.
The male is described as Caucasian, in his late teens with dark hair and was wearing a black jumper, grey tracksuit pants and a carrying a light coloured backpack.
Investigators have released an image of a man that may be able to assist with their inquiries.
