Pakenham motorists have been praised for “doing the right thing” and not getting behind the wheel under the influence of liquor.
Police were “thrilled” to report a 13 July booze bus operation saw none of the estimated 530 motorists breath-tested return a positive reading for drink driving.
A Pakenham police spokesperson said this was the exact result police always hoped for.
“We would like to acknowledge the 530 motorists for doing the right thing,” the spokesperson said.
“Your responsible driving contributes to community safety and keeping our road toll down.”
