Theatre and television royalty is heading to the Cardinia Cultural Centre on 21 May.
Best known for his leading roles in Sea Patrol and Stingers, Ian Stenlake’s show Leading Man is the story of his life, featuring songs of his theatre career.
His extensive resume includes stage productions of Guys and Dolls, Truth, Georgy Girl, Around the World in 80 Days, Caress/Ache and Daylight Saving.
He will next be seen in the Australian production of Mamma Mia!, based on the movie of the same name, as Sam, one of Sophie’s three potential fathers.
But before he steps back into character, he will provide audiences with an insight glimpse into the “real” Ian Stenlake.
“The hope is my fans who may have seen me on TV walk out of the show and think ‘hey, I know that guy a little better now’,” Mr Stenlake said.
Describing the 90-minute family-friendly performance as “fun, light and joyous,” Mr Stenlake couldn’t promise there would be no audience participation.
“What I can promise is that no-one gets hurt,” he joked.
Mr Stenlake will be performing at the Cardinia Cultural Centre, Pakenham, on Sunday 21 May at 4pm.
For tickets and pricing, visit the What’s On section of the Cardinia Shire Council website.
