A 6000-strong crowd turned out to support Pakenham’s annual Yakkerboo Festival street parade at the weekend.
Colourful floats carrying residents young and old paraded down the central business district and scores of onlookers cheered in delight.
The festival, now in its 41st year, unites residents from Pakenham and surrounding communities for a commemorative event in honour of the town’s mythical character, Mr Yakkerboo.
Gazette photographer Rob Carew was on hand to capture the action.
