Nar Nar Goon Pony Club is opening its doors this May and inviting young riders to saddle up their ponies and learn what Pony Club is all about.
The Come and Try day at Nar Nar Goon Pony Club entails innovative riding lessons which will be held in small groups to make them perfect for everyone from first-timers and beginners through to Pony Club Association of Victoria (PCAV) level three riders.
As club member Anabelle Ennis-Wert explained, the day is a great way for anyone who is interested to get outdoors and learn more about equitation skills and care.
“The come and try day is a quality educational riding program consisting of jumping and flat lessons in the morning,” Annabelle said.
“After lunch will include activities from our varied disciplines such as hickstead training, games, theory or a relaxing trail ride.”
A small club consisting of riders of all abilities between six to 17 years of age, Nar Nar Goon Pony Club boasts a range of beautiful facilities.
With two full-size dressage arenas, two large grass areas and a mini cross country course, the grounds are a perfect environment for young riders who are looking to expand and improve their equestrian knowledge.
“We have a great variety of jumps ranging from grades five to three, plus logs and show jumps for lead-reins,” Annabelle said.
“We also have over 20 yards that riders can keep their ponies in while having lunch from our wonderful canteen.
“Parents can relax with plenty of seating and we have lots of parking space within our grounds!”
Quality riding programs are of the utmost importance at Nar Nar Goon Pony Club, with fabulous instructors and coaches providing education and laughs in a friendly and relaxed environment.
Those who are looking to find out what Pony Club is all about can join the Nar Nar Goon Pony Club on Sunday 28 May for a day of fun, equine education and a fantastic atmosphere.
A charge of $25 will include insurance for the day and riders are required to bring their own horses and ponies.
