Switching the Bunyip Agricultural Show to Sunday this year was a “big success” said organisers, with larger crowds than in previous years flocking to the Bunyip Showgrounds.
Bunyip District Agricultural Society Secretary Joan Harrison said it was a great weekend.
“We had a wonderful day and beautiful weather on Sunday,” Ms Harrison said.
This year there were a large number of entries of horses, sheep and dogs.
“We try to focus on the agricultural aspects of the show,” Ms Harrison said.
Highlights included a six-week-old miniature donkey that almost stole show, the alpacas display and the entries of cut flowers and dahlias which increased notably compared with past years.
Ms Harrison thanked the CFA and all the volunteers who helped to make the day a success.
“Everything went really well and truly to plan thanks to our wonderful army of volunteers,” she said.
