Musician Dale Ryder crashed into the Pakenham Hotel on Sunday for one of the pub’s biggest events.
The one-off performance by the former frontman of ‘80s group Boom Crash Opera attracted about 175 people to the pub’s newly renovated beer garden.
While the band was known for its high energy stage shows, Ryder’s Pakenham performance was of a different note, with the gig featuring “chilled out tunes”.
Pakenham Hotel public relations manager Lewis Colbert said it was a fantastic day.
“We had great crowd support, strong numbers, great weather and music in the beer garden,” Mr Colbert said.
“All in all it was a great gig; one of the biggest we have ever had and we’re looking to do more similar events in the future.”
